"I believe that we all have a purpose and destiny that we are trying to fulfill and in the pursuit of trying to not only identify our purpose and reach our destiny we sometimes stumble. The beauty in stumbling is that we have the opportunity to regain our balance, refocus, and reset our mind so that we can continue on our journey". Ashley Frazier
About
My name is Ashley Frazier and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor, Master Addiction Counselor, and Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor practicing in the state of Georgia. I've been working in the mental health counseling field for over 10+ years and I challenge myself to learn something new and grow as a therapist each day. I received my Masters of Education in Counselor Education with a major in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, and adults of all ages with a variety of different presenting problems. I enjoy assisting clients who might be experiencing difficulties in the following areas, Addiction, ADHD/ADD, Anger, Anxiety, Behavioral problems, Communication issues, Conflict with peers, Depression, Deployment, Divorce, Grief, and Trauma to name a few. My specialty is Addictions as I have advanced training in substance abuse counseling and have worked with the population for years in different aspects and levels.
I believe in SPEAKING LIFE, SHEDDING LIGHT, SPREADING LOVE, SHARING LAUGHTER, motivating, encouraging, engaging, directing, assisting, and navigating my clients, on their journey through life to fulfill their goals, dreams, and heart’s desire! A great deal of my practice is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) based and I highly support the use of CBT as it is evidenced based and if used effectively, and you engage the client and assist them with seeing the correlation between our thoughts and behaviors and that much of how we feel is determined by what we think, you will then be ready to assist them with getting to their goal. I’m also versatile and adjust my orientation accordingly to meet the needs of my clients at the moment. I recognize that the counseling process is a unique experience that can spark various emotions, some of which place individuals in a state of vulnerability. To be the most effective and efficient clinician and provide the best level of care that I can, my goal is to not confine myself into one skill set especially when another orientation might be most beneficial to explore in order to promote the most growth within the client.
I have a strong passion for helping others and assisting where I can. I’ve always believed in the motto “Exceeding Expectations”. I believe it takes more than just doing my part. Sometimes we have to go “Above and Beyond” in order to get results. I live by the motto “Good just isn’t always good enough” and I encourage and motivate others to seek everything that they desire. I look forward to meeting you and I’m honored to have the opportunity to assist you.
